The Proton XQ30 thermal imager is a combination of a compact thermal imaging module and a quickly detachable Pulsar 5x30 monocular performing an eyepiece function. One movement is enough for the hunter to have at his disposal a 5x magnification telescope for natural daytime observation and a thermal imaging unit compatible with daytime optical devices of the monocular type. The Proton XQ30 thermal imaging module is mounted on daytime optics using a special PSP adapter, transforming it into thermal imaging optics. The quick-release adapter allows the Proton to be removed from the daytime optics and reinstalled on a telescope lens or binocular barrel in seconds, while the precise positioning mechanism perfectly centers the thermal image in the field of view of the daytime optics. The PSP adapter can remain on the Proton XQ30 thermal imaging module even when it is used with the Pulsar 5x30B monocular from the kit. This ensures that the Proton XQ30 is easy to use in various ways in the field.
The microbolometer sensor with NETD 40 mK allows detail recognition in low thermal contrast conditions. Rain, snow, fog, early morning after a cold night – Proton XQ clearly shows the smallest temperature differences during observation in unfavorable conditions for the hunter and equipment.
In stalking hunting conditions, every kilogram of additional equipment counts. The use of the Proton XQ30 is simple and convenient, regardless of the daytime optics to which it is connected – the Pulsar 5x30B monocular included in the delivery, a telescope, or binoculars from the hunter's equipment. The compact Proton XQ30 thermal imaging module weighs 370 grams, which does not significantly affect the balance of the daytime optics on which it is installed.
The durable and lightweight magnesium alloy body is structurally very strong and protects the Proton XQ30 from shocks and vibrations. Resistant to external mechanical, thermal, and climatic influences, the body metal effectively eliminates and dissipates heat from the module’s electronic components, thus increasing the stability of its operation.
The enhanced detailed drawing function of objects during observation. Image Detail Boost significantly increases the sharpness of observed objects, clearly identifies contours, visualizes small objects (branches, dead tree) in the field of view, and areas with a slight temperature difference. The function is particularly applicable for the qualitative determination of animal characteristics indicated in the hunting permit.
The built-in video recorder is a great asset for filming or taking photos of unique moments. One press of the button is enough to take a picture of an interesting situation or start recording a video that you would like to share with friends and hunting colleagues. 16 GB of internal memory allows for many hours of video and tens of thousands of photos, which can then be transferred to a smartphone or PC.
The built-in Wi-Fi module connects the Proton XQ30 with smartphones or tablets based on Android and iOS operating systems using the Stream Vision mobile application. The combination of a smartphone and a thermal imaging device offers unique opportunities – wireless software updates, image transmission to a mobile device screen, remote control of the device’s digital functions, as well as live streaming of the captured image on the Internet using streaming video services and YouTube.
The AMOLED screen offers a sharp and high-contrast image. AMOLED technology ensures energy savings, a wide dynamic range, and a short response time, providing clear and smooth images during observation in motion or freezing conditions.
The high-capacity APS 5 Li-Ion battery with quick-change offers up to 6 hours of continuous use on a single charge. The safety and durability of APS5 batteries are ensured by built-in electronic protection systems. The battery is removed from the battery compartment and replaced with a new one in seconds.
A choice of eight color palettes makes observation more comfortable, solves a variety of tasks, and allows for adapting to changing observation conditions. The White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot palettes are optimal for object detection, while the Rainbow and Ultramarine palettes enhance recognition and identification capabilities. Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are the most suitable palettes for long-term night observation.
