More realistic morillon decoys

The AvianX morillon decoys have amazed us. We have never had the opportunity to see such realistic forms. The various proposed attitudes are astonishingly natural. The pack of six decoys consists of 4 male morillon forms and 2 females.

AvianX: a unique manufacturing process

Fred Zink, the creator of AvianX decoys and also the author of GHG (GreenHead Gear) forms, wanted to develop a totally innovative manufacturing process. While all forms used up to now feature a rigid plastic for their construction and a steel mold, the procedure is quite different for AvianX forms. A flexible material mold is now used, which allows a considerable increase in the level of feather detail. For the forms, a semi-rigid plastic was preferred. Thanks to this, the decoy becomes indestructible: it deforms but does not break.

Faithful and ultra-resistant paint

For AvianX forms, the term paint is no longer appropriate. The decoys are no longer simply painted. Fred Zink, aware of these repeated color issues on HD forms, also innovated by applying a new technology to AvianX forms. Now, the plastic, before being injected into the mold, is directly colored. Except for a few plumage details, the forms are therefore no longer simply painted with an airbrush but covered with a layer of plastic whose color is embedded.

Perfect buoyancy

Another major issue with many decoys on the market is the unbearable noise of wave slapping. The AvianX team also addressed this problem and found an innovative solution. The keel of AvianX decoys has an original pool cue shape. Thanks to this, the weight is distributed more on the front of the decoy than on the back. This way, the form follows the wave movement without it slapping loudly against the plastic.

Natural attitudes

A duck decoy can come from the best factories, but if the attitude you want to give it is not natural, it will serve more as a scarecrow. Fred Zink made it a point to offer an incredible variety of attitudes to these AvianX decoys. The morillons do not deviate from the rule: two attitudes are proposed. The pack consists of 6 forms: 4 males (2 active and 2 resting) and 2 females (1 active – 1 resting).
